  • Mood

    In rhythm

A note before you begin

This one’s for the in-between moments—when the body feels strong, the mind is clear, and the day hasn’t quite rushed in. It’s simple, but purposeful. A blend we turn to after movement, when the sunlight is soft and the kitchen is quiet. Let each ingredient land with intention. Drink slowly, and feel it nourish you from the inside out.

Ingredients

Smoothie

  • 1 half of a Casa Ayla Avo (save the other half for dinner)

  • 8 ounces of unsweetened (minimal ingredient) almond milk

  • 8-10 ice cubes

  • 1 scoop of vegan or whey protein powder (I use truvani chocolate)

  • 1 tbsp of Thorne L- Glutamine

  • 1 tbsp of Thorne Creatine

  • 1 tbsp of bee pollen (local)

  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp of walnut / macadamia butter (I use the brand blueprint)

Instructions

  1. Begin by slowing down. Open a window. Let the breeze in. Maybe your skin is still warm from movement — let this be your reward.
  2. Scoop half of a Casa Ayla avocado into the blender. It's rich and grounding — just what your body needs. Set the other half aside for later.
  3. Pour in the almond milk. Add your ice — enough to cool it down, not water it down.
  4. Spoon in the chocolate protein powder, then the glutamine and creatine — quiet tools for strength and recovery.
  5. Sprinkle in the chia seeds and golden bee pollen. Add a generous spoonful of walnut or macadamia butter — earthy, smooth, and satisfying.
  6. Blend until velvety and thick, pausing to taste. Adjust to your rhythm — more milk for sippable, more ice for spoonable.
  7. Pour into your favorite glass or ceramic tumbler.
  8. Top with a few cacao nibs, a drizzle of nut butter, and a pinch of sea salt or cinnamon — if the mood calls for it.
  9. Drink slowly. Let it be more than fuel — let it be a moment of care.

To serve

Cold and creamy, just after a workout or before the rest of the day finds you.

Little secrets

  • Use a just-ripe avocado — soft enough to yield, firm enough to hold its own.
  • Frozen almond milk cubes make it extra creamy.
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt wakes up the chocolate—and quietly supports your electrolytes, too.
  • If you’re tired, add cinnamon. If you’re sore, add turmeric. If you’re glowing, just enjoy it as is.
